Fenwick Elliott announces promotions to Senior Associate in London and Dubai

Fenwick Elliott is delighted to announce the promotion of Associates Shahed Ahmed (Dubai) and Sam Thyne (London) to the roles of Senior Associate, effective from 1st July 2023. 

Shahed, based in Fenwick Elliott’s international hub in Dubai, has experience in both non-contentious and contentious matters. Shahed joined Fenwick Elliott in June 2022, previously working in-house at one of the largest construction conglomerates in the Middle East. He has acted for clients in complex, high profile arbitrations and local litigation concerning construction matters involving government entities, major property developers and tier one contractors in the MENA region.

Sam is a New Zealand qualified solicitor in Fenwick Elliott’s London office. He joined the firm as an Associate in 2020. Sam has extensive experience advising contractors, subcontractors, developers, government agencies and consultants on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious construction issues. Sam has particular experience in international disputes arising under the FIDIC rainbow suite of contracts.
